Cal fifth-year senior Josh Johnson won the men's shot put with a third-round effort of 64-3 (19.58m) at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational, hosted by New Mexico, at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Johnson qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division 1 Indoor championship meet at the same venue that was canceled, but returned after 682 days to the renovated arena to prevail in his indoor opener.
